Accept a Leading Role in Playhouse History

Jenny Young in The Syringa Tree

Jenny Young – The Syringa Tree (2006)

The Thousand Islands Playhouse story has been developing for thirty years. It’s the story of hundreds of musicals, comedies and dramas – and thousands of performers. It includes two unique heritage venues, a touring Young Company and thousands upon thousands of unforgettable summer nights. Like most arts organizations, we rely on the generous and ongoing support of our community.  As a not-for-profit theatre company, private support covers 29% of our annual operation costs:

  • 51% Ticket and Subscription sales
  • 20% Government support
  • 29% Individual, Corporate, and Private Foundation support

It is private support that sustains the work and vision of our creative team – the actors, directors, designers and artists responsible for the imaginative world of the Thousand Islands Playhouse. Every dollar contributed by you creates the colourful and thought-provoking productions audiences have been enjoying since 1982.

There are many ways to contribute to the Playhouse:

As a Patron Club Member, you will not only enjoy the thrill of participating in the creation of our outstanding plays each year, but you will also enjoy special benefits. Unique to the Playhouse is the inclusion of season tickets with every Patron Membership.

You can sponsor a performance as a commemorative gift! Celebrate an anniversary, mark a milestone birthday, or even a retirement at the Playhouse.

Sometimes, amounts above and beyond our operating funds are needed for special projects and facility growth. This is where the 30th Anniversary Campaign steps in. As a Campaign Donor, you will know that you are giving that extra push to take the Thousand Islands Playhouse to the next stage. Look back – it’s incredible what we’ve built together in the last 30+ years.  Now let’s create our future.

Each and every gift matters, and each and every gift is gratefully received.  With your help, we will continue producing the finest live professional theatre.

The Thousand Islands Playhouse is a registered not for profit organization, charitable tax number 88815 6247 RR0001.
