Educational Programming Takes to the Stage!
This Winter 2026, join us as we launch our TIP Kids Company, designed to provide students with a class that culminates in an exciting performance opportunity- Disney’s Frozen Jr!
Classes run weekly January 10th – April 19th, 2026, in our new, accessible rehearsal hall at our production facility (425 Herbert St). At the end of our session, all students will perform four times in the Firehall Theatre:
- Saturday, April 18 – 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm
- Sunday, April 19 – 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm
Primary Class- Gr 1 – 2
Class Times: Saturdays 10:30-11:30 am
Additional commitments in April for performances
In this 1 hour class, students will be introduced to the joy of musical theatre, and develop foundational skills in acting, singing, and movement. Centered around finding ways to express themselves and let their voices be heard, this class builds confidence for both on and off the stage!
At the end of the term, students will demonstrate their learning by joining the TIP Kids Company production of Frozen Jr, as members of the Magical Snow Chorus.
Note: A $40 Production Fee will be applied to Primary student accounts in March 2026.
Kids Company- Gr 3 – 8
Class Times: Saturdays 12:30-4:30 pm / Thursdays 5:00-8:00 pm (as scheduled upon casting)
The Kids Company is comprised of classes, rehearsals, and skill-building workshops. Students will be coached through an in-class audition process, and then each assigned a role in the Kids Company production of Frozen Jr. Every student will be given a named role with multiple lines, and have the opportunity to sing a solo in the production.
In the 4 hour Saturday afternoon class block, students will develop theatrical performance skills while rehearsing for a final production. In the flexible Thursday evening block, students will be called in small groups for rehearsal, or participate in full cast workshops to build skills such as auditioning, singing as a blended ensemble, character physicality, theatre production, and more.
Students will be scheduled into Thursday evening rehearsals based on the role they receive in the production in week 2, when a detailed calendar will be sent.
Note: A $75 Production Fee will be applied to Kids Company accounts in March 2026.
