How do I make a group reservation?
How many people are needed to make a group?
A group is considered 10 or more, ordered in advance. *Motor Coach Tour Operators contact Amanda for exclusive rates and details.
What is the group discount rate?
Save over $10 per ticket, nearly 30% off the single ticket rate! The tickets must be purchased for the same performance. Ticket prices include HST and fees are waived.
Do I receive complimentary tickets if I order a large group?
Tour Operators and groups of 20+ traveling by motor coach are eligible for complimentary driver and escort tickets. Ask Amanda if your group qualifies.
May I purchase group tickets at the door?
To qualify for a group rate, group tickets must be ordered in advance. Door sales are not available for the group rate. Adjustments to your group order can be made by contacting Amanda up to the final payment due date.
Can I send several cheques or split my payment on multiple credit cards?
No. The transaction must be made in one payment per group order. Payments for group orders can be made by cheque, Visa or Mastercard.
What if someone in my group doesn’t show up?
No refunds are available for unused tickets on the day of performance.
Do you offer reserved seating?
Yes! If your group is over 10+, we can even offer you a seating map of the theatre, designating your group seats. Ensure the best available seating for your group by ordering early. The 20% booking deposit allows the maximum number of seats to be held that your group may need, up until the due date for confirming final group numbers.
When should my group arrive at the theatre?
We recommend your group arrives at least 30 minutes before show time. If you are picking tickets up at the door, please allow extra time to distribute them to your group. The house opens ½ hour prior to the performance.
Can I make special requests on my order?
Certainly. If, for example, someone in your group requires an aisle seat, or prefers to sit close to the front, please note that special request on your order form.
What if members of our group come late?
Latecomers are not admitted until an appropriate break and are escorted into the theatre by an usher. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of our ushers are not guaranteed their assigned seat with the group. Please advise your group to schedule plenty of time.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Yes, both our theatre venues are wheelchair accessible. Please make sure we know how many wheel chairs you would like to seat as space is limited.
Is Motorcoach parking available?
Yes! The Thousand Islands Playhouse offers free motorcoach parking in our designated lot around the corner from the theatre. We offer convenient motor coach unloading in front of the theatre.
Where does the public park?
Parking is available on surrounding residential streets, and is not metered (free.) Our on-site parking lot at the Firehall Theatre is reserved for our Patron Members Club and limited handicapped parking spots are available by reservation, on a first-come basis. We also offer a complimentary parking lot for all of our guests just 2 blocks from the theatre.
What if we want to customize our group event?
Amanda, your Group Sales Coordinator can recommend eating establishments, organize add-on options, let you know about free “Talk-back Tuesday” “Deck Chat” scheduling and suggest sightseeing activities around Gananoque and the 1000 Islands.

Are there special group rates for students?
The Thousand Islands Playhouse is excited to offer an exclusive $13.50 inclusive rate for student groups, saving 50% off the regular group rate! Educators/teachers see the show for free. Ask Amanda about our Educator Preview Nights and exclusive add-on options for your student group! (*See Student Groups Guide for more details)
Is your venue licensed?
Yes, both our theatre venues are licensed. There is also a concession stand. Only water is permitted in the theatre.
Do you have a Deposit & Handling Fee policy?
A refundable deposit of 20% total order value is required at the time of booking. Confirmation of the number of guests in the party and the remaining payment is due 14 days prior to matinee and Opening Night performances, and 7 days prior to all other performances. Deposit is refundable only when cancellation notice is received prior to 14 days before your scheduled performance. Tickets are issued only upon receipt of payment. All fees are waived for group orders.
Do you have brochures which I can share with my group?
Absolutely! PDF copies of our brochure are available for download on our website. Please send us your contact information to receive hard copies by mail.
How do I make a group reservation?
