Other: Sophia is the former Associate Artistic Director of the Playhouse, as well as an actor, writer, producer, and educator. Sophia has waited the whole pandemic to make her directorial debut with Every Brilliant Thing and it was worth the wait. Her playwriting credits include: The Philanderess (The Second City Award for Best New Comedy); How to Stand Up (Ellen Ross Stuart Opening Doors Award); and Liars at a Funeral. Sophia is a graduate of the Bell Media Prime Time TV Writing Program at the Canadian Film Centre and the Faculty of Education at Queen’s University. Most recently, she developed a new play thanks to the Local Arts Residency Program at The Grand Theatre in Kingston.

She is the recipient of a Robert Merritt Award for Outstanding Costume Design for The Tempest (Two Planks), and a Montreal English Critics Circle Award for Best Set Design for 7 Stories (Tableau d’Hôte).
