PlayReading: LORE

December 6, 2014 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Free

The Thousand Islands Playhouse Playwrights’ Unit consists of local Playwrights who are selected to participate in a year-long residency program designed to foster the talent of both emerging and established artists. During the residency, each member works to develop a play. You’re invited to join us for the first public readings of these plays, led by professional directors and performed by professional actors.

LORE

By Jodi Essery and Attila Clemann
Saturday, December 6. 7:30pm in the Firehall Theatre

Lore is a duet for a Giant and a ten-year-old girl. Twig wants her mom back so badly she’s willing to try anything. Even a prayer.

What she gets is not what she asked for. At all.

Lore is a play about soup and memories, beer and ashes, broken records and broken legs. It’s about chasing Death, and coming back to Life. And what happens when you ask for a Miracle and you get This instead.

Director: Ashlie Corcoran
Giant: David Jansen
Twig: Alexandra Montagnese
