PlayReading: BRUISER

The Thousand Islands Playhouse Playwrights’ Unit consists of local Playwrights who are selected to participate in a year-long residency program designed to foster the talent of both emerging and established artists. During the residency, each member works to develop a play. You’re invited to join us for the first public readings of these plays, led by professional directors and performed by professional actors.

Bruiser is a comedy about a successful music band manager who suffers a professional crisis that calls into question his unique brand of genius. While accompanying a popular musician to a rock concert in a remote location, his unorthodox business practices are unexpectedly challenged, bringing him face to face with a formidable adversary– himself.
