Education Extras
The Playhouse is committed to providing unique and affordable opportunities for students and youth to learn about theatre. Thanks to the sponsorship of TD Bank group, we are able to offer the following programs to student groups, FREE of CHARGE!
Drama Workshops
We offer a FREE drama workshop led by a professional theatre artist to all student matinee groups. Designed and tailored according to grade-level, these fun-filled classes are a great way to learn the basics of theatre while incorporating themes from each particular play. Workshops can take place either in the theatre or at your school!
Meet the Cast
Immediately following all student matinees actors return to the stage for an informal talk-back. Facilitated by Playhouse staff, this is a great opportunity for students to ask questions, hear backstage stories and engage with professional actors.
Study Guide
This great resource for teachers Includes curriculum-based pre and post-show classroom activities, source material, production information, and a synopsis for each play. It is available in hard copy and on our website.
