August 28, 7:30pm
Mark Fewer has performed around the world to critical acclaim with the Melbourne Symphony (Australia), the Fodens-Richardson Brass Band (UK), and the Zapp Quartet (Amsterdam). He was featured on the album Changing Seasons by Phil Dwyer and Orchestra, which won the Juno Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album. Hank Knox is a founding member of Montréal’s Arion Baroque Orchestra, with whom he has toured North and South America, Europe, and Japan. He regularly performs and tours with Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and l’Orchestre symphonique de Montréal.
“I’ve always loved the playing and the personality of violinist Mark Fewer, a native of Newfoundland. I’m delighted he will be joined by the Montreal harpsichordist Hank Knox in an all Bach Violin Sonata program,” says Eric Friesen.
