Originally from just outside Edmonton, Alberta, Hal has worked between Vancouver and Edmonton for the past several years. He earned his BFA in Theatre Performance from Simon Fraser and has been working professionally since. Last fall Hal performed in the Broadway-bound musical Hadestown at the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton working with a cast of super talented Canadians, Broadway veterans and a Tony nominated creative team. Hal has studied musical theatre in New York City at The Circle in the Square Theatre School as well as pursued writing classes in Toronto with Tarragon Theatre.

Alexander began his studies of music at an early age performing violin and eventually taking up bass, piano and organ. Alexander has performed with Provincial Honour Band, District Honour Band, Kamloops Big Band, and various community groups. Since graduating from the Beattie School of the Arts, he has been a steady member of WTC and has performed with many local groups alongside professional musicians.

James is pleased to work in beautiful Gananoque for the first time. He is the Artistic Director of Western Canada Theatre, where he has directed A Christmas Carol, Million Dollar Quartet, and the world premiere of the women’s hockey play GLORY. Originally from Edmonton, James is the former Associate Artistic Director at the Citadel Theatre, where he directed or acted in 36 productions over 20 years. He has directed for theatres across the country, including the Stratford and Shaw Festivals, Canadian Stage, the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, and Alberta Theatre Projects. He is also the founding Artistic Director of the River City Shakespeare Festival, and the former Program Director of the Citadel/Banff Centre Professional Theatre Program.

Meghan is thrilled to return to Gan for her third season at the Playhouse. She is a recent graduate of The National Theatre School of Canada and a not-so-recent graduate of Queen’s University. In her spare time she likes to eat as much as she can and post photos on her food-loving Instagram account, @thefrobelly. She is almost always overwhelmed with love and gratitude for her family and friends who never fail to provide acceptance and support for this crazy life we lead in the theatre.
